Description
This webinar helps teachers address the growing influence of financial advice on social media. Participants will explore what makes advice helpful or unhelpful, with an emphasis on empathy, credibility, and student decision-making. Teachers will then be introduced to a reusable, editable evaluation tool designed to help students analyze financial advice using clear criteria rather than opinions alone. Using real social media posts, participants will apply the tool and discuss how it can be adapted across grade levels, platforms, and personal finance topics. The session is highly practical and focused on immediate classroom use, with examples and strategies teachers can implement right away.
