Scott Bacon is currently the Program Coordinator at the Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship (CEEE) at the University of Delaware. He joined the CEEE in 2015 after teaching social studies for 13 years in Delaware's public schools and having received his Master of Arts in Economics and Entrepreneurship for Educators from UD.

During his classroom career, Scott focused on high school economics and civics at all levels and was recognized in 2007 as Newark High School's Teacher of the Year. He has forged solid partnerships with the Delaware teaching community in many different capacities, having served as social studies department and district chairs in the Brandywine and Christina School Districts and as co-chair of the Social Studies Coalition of Delaware. Scott has written lessons and assessment items for the Delaware Department of Education and has also written for and presented at the Council for Economic Education's annual conference. Scott recently presented on economics disciplinary literacy to the National Association of Economic Educators and the Middle States Council for Social Studies annual conferences.

Scott was recently commended by the Civics Renewal Network for his work with Project Citizen, having represented Delaware at inaugural Constitution Day activities in Washington, D.C. He is currently the Delaware representative to the Middle States Board of Directors and in 2016 he created and proctored an online professional development course for Delaware educators on Disciplinary Literacy in History.

Scott lives in Wilmington with his wife and three children.
