Mike Raymer

Mike Raymer is the Executive Director of the Georgia Council on Economic Education where he is responsible for fundraising and managing board and civic relations. He holds education degrees from Kennesaw State University and Georgia State University and a history degree from Fredonia State University. He earned an Association of Fundraising Professionals Diploma in Fundraising Management in June, 2017 and completed the Executive Leadership Program for Nonprofit Organizations at the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development in January, 2017.
Mr. Raymer is a frequent workshop presenter who has lectured at state, regional, and national conferences. He is a former Georgia Economics Teacher of the Year, a Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education Fellow, the 2019 Bessie B. Moore Service Award winner, the 2015 Transatlantic Outreach Program Fellow of the Year, and was the 2014 President of the National Association of Economic Educators. He has recently led teacher study tours to Japan, Germany, and Cuba and has participated in study tours to Russia, Romania, and Turkey.
