William Wood is Department Head in Economics and Director of the Center for Economic Education at James Madison University. Wood received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia and has held faculty positions at Vanderbilt University, the University of Virginia and Bridgewater College. His work has appeared in outlets as diverse as The Journal of Risk and Insurance, Public Choice, and The Wall Street Journal. He has authored five books, more than 40 scholarly articles, and national economic education materials for school and adult audiences.
