We will then explore the intersection of economics and civics in the K-5 curriculum, illustrating how these fields combine to foster responsible and informed citizens. We will also delve into the intriguing domain of economics within children’s literature. We will share strategies for using children’s books written by BIPOC authors to introduce and discuss economic concepts, making economics more relatable for young minds. Finally, we will wrap up the day with a focused discussion on the key concepts covered throughout the sessions and a feedback collection session. Your insights and suggestions will be invaluable in shaping our future workshops.
