Cheryl Ayers
Starting her career as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school teacher and work-based learning coordinator, Dr. Cheryl Ayers has more than 20 years of experience in creating and delivering customized professional development programs, undergraduate/graduate university courses, curricula, and examinations in economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship education for K-12 pre/in-service teachers, adult educators, workforce development practitioners, and other like-minded professionals from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds. An NAEE Economics Pedagogy Scholar Award recipient, Dr. Ayers has worked with the Council on Economic Education and Virginia Council on Economic Education for nearly 25 years and currently works with the Center for Economic Education at Virginia Tech, U.S. Economic Empowerment Project, and as an educational consultant for related state and national organizations.
