Diana Isern
, NY
Diana Isern has been a New York City Public School educator for 19
years; first as an ENL teacher and as an Assistant Principal for the
last 13 years. Due to the constant curiosity from students asking
about topics like saving and investing, as well as her passion for
personal finance, she created a course called Making Money Move$,
which emphasizes inquiry-based activities and inclusive perspectives.
She dove headfirst into educating herself about finances--like too
many of us--later in adult life, and is passionate about sharing
financial knowledge with everyone she can.
Within her role as a school administrator she continues to be in the
classroom, because teaching students about money brings her joy and
grounds her daily work. She believes that educators are the most
creative and hardest working people, and when we fill teachers'
buckets with support, they will fill students' buckets with everything
they have. Find Diana advocating, presenting and sharing about Fin Lit
