James Heffron

James Heffron is a 25 year veteran teacher of History and Economics in the Boston Public Schools. Over the past seven years, James has taught primarily AP Microeconomics to Seniors at the John D O’Bryant School in Roxbury, MA. James has worked to integrate financial literacy wherever and whenever possible within the school day. Within his current AP Microeconomics there are embedded mini-units focused on personal finance topics such as careers, credit and loans, budgeting, and investment. James has earned his National Board Certification as well as being certified at the state level in Special Education and Social Studies. Currently James is working on acquiring grant funding to hold a Fin Lit Reality Fair.
