This session features the engaging new children’s book “Sloth & Squirrel in a Pickle” by Cathy Ballou Mealey. With an emphasis on the connection between children’s literature and personal finance, you will be introduced to the tale and lessons and activities created to teach the concepts of jobs, earning, spending, goods & services, opportunity cost, entrepreneurship, and decision-making. Content area connections will be highlighted. Included are classroom-ready lessons, an online link to a YouTube read aloud and an annotated bibliography.
