In this session, we’ll demystify investing and taxes for high school teachers so they can bring these challenging topics to their classrooms through a diverse and inclusive lens. Teachers will gain an understanding of the basics of the stock market, mutual funds, and bonds, as well as how taxes impact student income, savings, and investments. We’ll also dive into the power of compound interest and long-term investing strategies that students can begin thinking about today. We’ll discuss how various communities approach investing and saving, helping students from all backgrounds gain the confidence to take control of their financial futures. This session will equip you with resources and strategies to make these complex topics accessible and engaging for high school students.
