Richard splits his time between work responsibilities in the economics department at St. Cloud State University, where, among other things, he teaches economics courses and co-author the St. Cloud Area Quarterly Business Report and the Council for Economic Education, where, as Senior Advisor for Program Development, he works with CEE to develop and deliver key curricular and research-based programs and products in its portfolio.

He was one of the original contributors to EconEdLink and consider some of the work he has done on both Datalinks (he was the originator of this site) and EconomicsMinutes to be among the best things he has done in economic education.
