Dr. Gary Stone is Chair of the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at Winthrop University. He is also the Director of the Winthrop University Center for Economic Education.
As a professor of economics, he teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As the Director of the Winthrop University Center for Economic Education, he conducts economics workshops for K-12 teachers in South Carolina and other states. Dr. Stone is the author of CEE's Advanced Placement Microeconomics (4th Edition) and is active in training AP Economics high school teachers and grading the AP Microeconomics exam each year. He has also conducted economic education teacher training programs in eight foreign countries, including Russia, Egypt and Ukraine.
