Description
The Basics of Personal Finance is a 3-hour session designed for first-time teachers who are teaching personal finance grades 6-12. This session covers the following concepts: Saving, Investing, Risk Management, Employment/Income, Budgeting/Money Management, Taxes, Career Choices, Credit and Debt, Interest Rates, Incentives, Financial Institutions, and Buying Goods and Services. Presenters willfocus on explaining each concept. This session will feature breakout rooms for discussion and a wide variety of free lesson plans,activities, and videos from EconEdLink and other trusted partners.
