Teachers will be able to:

From trending colors to natural disasters, the news and social media are full of stories that shape our financial choices and opportunities — whether we realize it or not. This session examines how viral headlines and current events intersect with personal finance and economics to engage students in conversations about financial decision-making.
Join FEPPP and EconEdLink to explore the relationship between consumers and color through Pantone’s Color of the Year, examine the financial impacts of natural disasters, explore the economics of college sports, and consider how consumer boycotts can introduce stock market basics. Educators will leave with discussion prompts and classroom activities that help students think critically about the financial systems that shape the world around them.
